“Recent Advances in Understanding Word-Level Reading Difficulties: Implications for Assessment, Prevention, and Highly Successful Intervention”
Learning Outcomes:
Explain to school psychologists, teachers, and administrators how word-level reading skills develop and why some students struggle with those skills.
Participants will be able to assemble a battery of assessments that will allow them to pinpoint precisely why a student is struggling in reading.
Participates will learn how to administer and interpret the Phonological Awareness Screening Test.
School psychologists, teachers, and administrators will be able to recommend the most highly effective intervention approaches.
School psychologists, teachers, and administrators will be able to recommend and implement instructional practices that will prevent most reading difficulties from occurring in the first place.
